My thoughts on the conference

I really enjoyed the conference this year. On Thursday, I went to a session on the updated NextSteps site that will be valuable for us to use when we begin writing our new technology plan. I also attended a very informative session on school district liability issues. I'm happy to say that we're in pretty good shape in terms of our acceptable use policies for students and staff. Another session I attended was about the District Dashboard. The District Dashboard is a centralized data warehouse being developed by the DeKalb school district, NIU, and the Bloomington schools. I'm afraid we're not even close to achieving such a thing in our district, but the information about SIF was interesting. The keynote speaker at lunch on Thursday was excellent. I look forward to reading your thoughts on the conference!

What did you learn at the IETC?

What did you learn at the Illinois Educational Technology Conference in Springfield? What was your favorite session? How do you plan on sharing your new knowledge with faculty, staff, and students?
